Normally, I wouldn’t try something like this given the relatively high dose of THC (10mg per serving) but given the dearth of low-dose beverages on the market and the presence of 5mg of CBD, I figured I would give it a try. Plus this company has been getting a lot of press, so I wanted to check it out. The labeling bills it as a mood enhancer for joy and states “You will laugh a lot.” My experience was somewhat different. After approximately 60 minutes of ingestion, I feel a very subtle relaxation. The feeling of being “stoned” definitely crept up and by about 90 minutes, I was super tingly and definitely feeling stoned. The experience flattened out and calmed about three hours after ingestion. Key takeaway – let’s don’t promise claims of “joy” and “blasting the blues” that simply aren’t backed up by anything. For a low-doses, I’d stay away, but if you’re looking for something to enjoy on a night out when you’re “going big,” I think the taste is decent. It’s reasonably priced (relative to a glass of wine at a restaurant) but certainly not something you could drink every day at $6 a piece.
